The Ski Club are proud sponsors of Ed Drake, a hard working and talented British skier, who at just 19 years of age, has his sights firmly at the top of his sport.

Ed is one of Britain’s rising skiing stars and has quickly progressed into the British Team. After finishing the 04/05 season as the British Junior Champion - he is now looking for even more career success, "I want to be an Olympian, and unltimately my main goal is to win it".

He takes a lot of inspiration from his fellow teammates Finlay Mickel and Alain Baxter "Just watching Al and Finlay as top-class athletes, you can pick up how to do things the way they work in the gym and on the hill". But ultimately, it is his mental attitude and positive thinking that are pushing him forward, "There has to be a positive attitude: if you don’t think you can succeed, then you simply won’t do it. There’s too much effort required just to be a ski racer. If you start thinking negatively, you’ll go nowhere fast".

The Ski Club have been supporting Ed both financially and publicly for the last six years and continue to do so. He says of the Ski Club "The Ski Club have been fantastic. [They’ve] helped me keep people up to date with what I’m doing, and just get my name out there".
