Kitzbühel is also adding 400 beds in its high-end hotel segment, taking the resort’s bed base to 2,600 beds in the four- and five-star categories. Expansions include one of the resort’s most prominent establishments, the five-star A-ROSA Hotel, which has 100 bedrooms and 50 suites plus a 3,000 square metre wellness area. Another is the new Kaiserhotel (formerly the Montana), a four star hotel with 51 bedrooms and suites which is located right next to the Hahnenkamm cable car.
The four-star Hotel Schloss Lebenberg is undergoing a full rehabilitation and upgrade involving the creation of 100 more top-quality beds for a new total of over 300.
In addition work is to start this year on the construction of a luxury suite hotel with about 120 beds at Eichenheim Golf Course, due to be completed in 2007. At a total capital outlay of 12.5 million euros, the new facility will feature a multipurpose hall for a variety of sports such as ice-hockey, curling, tennis and climbing, which will further consolidate Kitzbühel’s reputation as a city of sport.
