Chemmy back from injury

Chemmy Alcott is back on her skis, after suffering a broken ankle at the end of November 2008
Thanks to some intense rehabilitation and support from Team Chemmy, the British Champion is back in training. Chemmy flew out to Austria shortly after New Year to start on-snow training and so far things have been going from strength to strength.
British Alpine Ski Team Head Coach, Mark Tilston commented on her progress. “Training has been going well. Chemmy is very focused on taking the correct steps in order to get back to competition. Her discipline has been good in not pushing too hard in order to ensure that a full recovery is the priority and she knows that her full form will return once her ankle is fully healed and she gets some more skiing and competition under her skis”.
It's hoped that Chemmy should make her return to the race circuit before the end of January. Tilston’s main goal will no doubt be to get her back on form in time for the World Ski Championships in Val d’Isere, which start on 3rd February.
PHYSIO FOR FINLAY
Finlay Mickel is also not been letting the crutches hold him back. During his time off, Finlay has been following an intensive physiotherapy programme as well as working hard to maintain his fitness.
Last week he lost the first of his two crutches and he hopes to be getting rid of the second crutch (for good!) within the next week or so. Provided his recovery continues to go well it is hoped that Finlay will be able to return to training before the end of the season.
