From 19 December 2009 until 13 March 2010 Oxford Airport will be operating a twice daily flight to Geneva. Flights will leave Oxford at 12.20 and 14.05, arriving at Geneva at 13.20 and 17.00 (local time) respectively.
If there is demand for the route, the dates may be extended through to Easter which falls between 2-5 April next year.
The service will offer those living in the Thames Valley area and the Cotswolds an alternative to using London airports or Birmingham International.
Those living in North West London will also be able to benefit, with Oxford within easy reach by both car and train. Further draws of flying from Oxford include the reasonable parking (which will be £25 a week) use of the executive terminal and the small airport feel.
Flights and prices will be published on www.flybaboo.com within the next week to include what Oxford Airport has promised will be "a generous baggage and complimentary ski or snowboard allowance". This comes as welcome after BA announced it will no longer be offfering ski and board carriage and Ryanair hiked up its charges for sports equipment.
