easyJet introduces online check-in for hold luggage
Tuesday 01 December 2009
The low cost airline hopes to create a “faster, less stressful airport experience” with its new online check-in facility
easyJet, which was recently voted as the “Best No Frills” and “Best Economy Class” airline at the British Travel Awards, has announced it will offer customers a free online check-in facility for hold baggage.
The service, which was launched yesterday, means travellers will be able to check in both their hand and hold luggage online at easyJet.com.
Customers can then take their hold baggage along with their online check-in boarding card to a bag drop point at one of 94 participating airports which include Geneva and Grenoble.
A further 18 airports, including ski airports Innsbruck and Salzburg will also offer the bag drop service over time. The airline will continue to allow passengers to check-in at the airport free of charge.
