Ski Club rep resort Fernie welcomed the Olympic torchbearers on Sunday 24 January, day 87 of the flame's 106 day, 45,000km journey across Canada.
"The Olympic torch came to town this morning" reported Ski Club rep Bobby Peoples on Sunday. "There was a good turn out by the town on a pretty cold morning to cheer it on, a lot of flag waving, sirens and a good firework display too".
The torch will light the Olympic cauldron at Vancouver’s BC Place on 12 February.
