The Vancouver ParalympicGB team features seven alpine skiers
|
Taking place from 12-21 March, the X Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver will feature 64 events in five sports including Alpine Skiing and Cross-Country Skiing.
ParalympicsGB, the team representing Great Britain at the games, will be made up of 12 athletes including seven alpine skiers – Sean Rose, Russell Docker, Jane Sowerby, Anna Turney, Tim Farr, Talan Skeels-Piggins and Kelly Gallagher.
The skiers will compete in the Sitting and Visually Impaired Alpine Skiing categories, with the action kicking off at Whistler Creekside on Saturday 13 March in the Downhill.
Of the ParalympicsGB skiers Sean Rose will be competing in the most events – all five Alpine Skiing disciplines – and is regarded as a strong medal chance following podium finishes in the Aspen and Sestriere IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup Downhill events this season.
