Blogging the BRITS – Day 6
Saturday 27 March 2010
Day 6 from the BRITS. A sunny powder day graced the final day of the BRITS and to finish things off, a manic race to the bottom of the mountain in the Red Bull Home Run.

With the end of the competition, last night saw everyone let their hair down. Literally. Wigs, bandanas, fake tattoos and spandex leggings reigned at the Animal and Whitelines rock night at Casa Veglia as teams of four fought it out in the guitar hero competition. The dance floor was chaos with everyone moshing away to the likes of AC/DC and Rage Against the Machine and we danced till the early hours of the morning.
After yesterday’s dump, the sun came out and we had near perfect conditions for our last day on the mountain. After a few runs it was time to get ready for the Red Bull Home Run. Over 200 people raced down the mountain with the fastest person arriving at the bottom in less than four minutes! The Ski Club’s James Rowden managed to achieve a speed of 87 km/ph whilst battling his way to the bottom. Check out our final video blog to get an idea of the carnage that ensued from the top of the mountain.
Final night tonight and there’s a party at the Rider’s Palace. It’s been an absolutely amazing week – from catching up with friends to watching British riders show us what it’s all about. The atmosphere has been electric from dawn to dusk...and back to dawn again with the parties and après being some of the best we’ve ever seen.
Only 365 days to go until the BRITS 2011, let the countdown begin!
