Austria is dominating the top 50 last snowed on Thursday 15 April making up 23 of the 50 resorts that most recently received fresh snow.
Eight resorts including St. Anton and Obertauern received 10cm of fresh snow on Wednesday 14 April whilst a further 13 including Lech and Hintertux had 5cm.
The clear winner is however Kaprun, the only one of our 250 featured resorts to report any fresh snow on Thursday 15 April with 21cm received. The resort currently has a piste depth of 190cm on the upper slopes with 11 out of 24 lifts operating.
Austria is largely expecting a switch to sunnier weather over the weekend but the recent snow should ensure good closing conditions as the season comes to and end in more resorts.
