TUI Ski, which owns ski tour operator brands Crystal, Thomson, First Choice and Flexiski, has revealed that Copper Mountain in Colorado was the most highly regarded by customers during the 2009/10 season followed, in order, by Sölden and Lech in Austria and Risoul and St. Jean D'Arves in France.

If divided into separate operators, each of the TUI Ski brands returned a different top resort with Crystal Finest clients preferring Whistler, First Choice Ski clients Montgenevre in France and Thomson Ski customers Hochgurgl in Austria.

The season’s results, based on resorts given the highest praise in customer survey questionnaires rather than the number of questionnaires returned per resort, threw up some resorts that “do not have such a high profile amongst British skiers” commented a TUI Ski spokesperson.

According to TUI Ski, it is likely that the Italian resort of Val di Fassa would triumph if the number of survey questionnaires returned was factored into the results. 39,606 customer service questionnaires, processed and validated by an independent survey company, have been returned to date this season.

The questionnaire focus on areas including accommodation, journey, booking process, customer service pre-departure and in-resort and childcare facilities with the primary aim is to give feedback to TUI Ski and its brands so that programme adjustments can be made if necessary.
