Whistler Blackcomb will begin its summer snowsports season with some of the best riding conditions in years thanks to a winter season which saw the British Columbia resort receive nearly 15m of cumulative snowfall, the second highest amount on record.
"With the incredible amount of snow we received this year, guests will be able to enjoy some of the best summer glacier conditions in recent years” commented Adam Francis, Whistler Blackcomb’s Summer Glacier Operations Supervisor.
Summer snowsports, which include a terrain park, are due to run from 12pm-3pm daily until July 25, weather allowing. Other activities, including mountain biking, will also be on offer from 19 June which marks the resort’s official summer kick off.
