The recent weather in Europe has been very hot and sunny, creating fairly soft and slushy conditions on the glaciers.
Hintertux (195cm) is the pick of Austrian resorts, with the most skiing on offer, from 3250m down to 2600m.
Over in France, the snowpark at Les Deux Alpes (270cm) has plenty of summer skiing, served by 26 running lifts.
In the Southern hemisphere, Australia has had some fresh snow, improving conditions on the open runs at resorts. Mt Hotham received 3cm of fresh snow over the weekend, improving their pistes. New Zealand has plenty of good skiing at the moment thanks to good early season snowfalls and the current cold weather. Cardrona (70m) has nearly all of its terrain available and a good base depth, while Mt. Lyford (180cm) has the deepest base depth of our featured New Zealand resorts. South America is still where the best of the skiing is at the moment. The storm at the end of last week in Chile is still providing some brilliant powder skiing off piste. Cold and sunny weather is expected for a while now, helping to preserve the conditions. Valle Nevado has 60cm of snow cover and blue skies to go with it. Over in Argentina, all three of our featured resorts have had recent snow, with Chapelco reporting the deepest base depth.
