As well as offering a 180m main slope, a beginner’s area and a terrain park, Manchester’s real snow slope the Chill Factore also gives skiers and snowboarders the chance to pick up the latest ski gear at stores including Snow+Rock and Dare 2b.
As of 5 August, visitors to the Chill Factore will also be able to book their holiday with the launch of a new Crystal Ski information pod, open daily, which forms part of the ski holiday operator's plan to provide information to snow fans at indoor slopes across the UK.
‘We are increasing our presence in indoor snow centres across the UK to be available for potential customers to ask questions and book with us” commented managing director Mathew Prior. “These ‘pods’ should provide value to customers and will support the travel agents in the area”.
At the launch, Crystal Ski will be offering free annual memberships to the Chill Factore as well as £50 off bookings made. They will also be running a competition to win a week’s ski holiday for two in Austria including lift pass and equipment.
Crystal Ski plans to open two more information pods at indoor slopes this autumn in time for the 2010/11 winter season – venues have yet to be announced.
