The last snowed report generated for Monday 26 July paints an interesting picture with four European resorts reporting fresh snow over the weekend to rank along with 16 southern hemisphere resorts which have also received snow since Thursday 22 July.
Hintertux, the Molltal Glacier and the Stubai Glacier in Austria had dustings of 1-2cm on Saturday 24 July whilst Saas Fee reported 10cm. The snowfalls have helped to refresh the piste cover with nine lifts operating at Hintertux on Monday and 10 at Saas Fee.
Our reported New Zealand resorts also welcomed an influx of snow with Mt Lyford receiving a dump of 60cm on Saturday and Mount Hutt a flurry of 40cm on Friday 23 July – just two of 10 New Zealand resorts to report fresh snow over the weekend.
Saturday was also a snowy day for Chile with all our reported resorts except Chapa Verde receiving at least 20cm of fresh snow on Saturday, further improving conditions. It was also snowing in Las Leñas on Monday with 18cm reported.
