What are your views on wearing helmets?
Wednesday 28 July 2010
Have your say by contributing to a study into the attitudes and beliefs associated with the use of helmets in snowsports
A recently launched University of Surrey study is aiming to discover the reasons why people may or may not wear helmets when skiing or snowboarding by seeking the personal opinions of snowsports fans.
Beginners, intermediate and advanced riders are invited to complete an online survey which will ask questions about snowsports experience, current helmet usage, risk perceptions and attitudes towards sensation seeking.
All responses to the survey, which is being conducted by Mary Ondrusz under the supervision of Dr Victoria Senior are strictly confidential. No identifying information is collected from participants and answers will only be seen by the research team.
The survey can be completed at www.fahs.surrey.ac.uk/survey/helmetuse. If you have any questions concerning the study please contact Mary Ondrusz at mo00044@surrey.ac.uk or Dr Victoria Senior at V.Senior@surrey.ac.uk.
