The Enduro takes over Les 3 Vallées 7 April

Sun-drenched slopes, spring skiing, a bit of a friendly competition and the world's largest ski area? Sounds like the perfect late-season break...

Les 3 Vallees
Les 3 Vallees

The Enduro is a race that takes place in The 3 Valleys (the largest ski area in the world) on 7 April 2013 and is now in its 11th year. Around 1500 people take part in teams of three in various challenges across the ski area including Freeride, Big Air, Freestyle, Family Schuss, Triplette des Belleville, Giant Slalom, Ski Cross, Boardercross and more.

The event, now sponsored by Salomon and Les 3 Vallées, has several new additions this year; a new freestyle race in Courchevel, new Big Air bag in Méribel Mottaret. €2 from each registration fee will be donated to multiple sclerosis research. It’s a great event if you’re looking to add something a little different to your trip to the mountains, and suitable for all friends and family. You can pick which events you’d like to take part in, choosing as many or as little as you like. Each event/race is timed and then judged accordingly. You’ll be able to rack up points throughout the day and then the winners will receive their prizes at the end of the day in their respective departure resorts. Along with the races there’ll be a Savoyard feast (including the ever-popular tartiflette) for lunch so you can re-charge your batteries, so to speak, ready for the afternoon.
