What is the Ski Club of Great Britain?
The Ski Club of Great Britain is the largest snowsports Club in the UK with over 33,000 members. We are the voice of recreational snowsports and exist to help you get the most from your time on snow. All skiers and boarders can join our club (link). The benefits of membership include:

How can we help you, the media?
We, Vicky and Vanessa, are here to provide you with any information you may need to help you to get snowsports coverage in the media. From information on snow conditions, fitness, safety, resort information and statistics etc, we can provide you with whatever you need. Just email us on vicky.norman@skiclub.co.uk.

Can I get photos from you for my feature?
Yes, Please take a look at our logos and photos area. (link) If you need something different then please contact us as we have a huge library of images free to use.
Do you have stats for about UK skiers and boarders?
Yes. Our annual report on the UK snowsports market is called the Snowsports Analysis (link). If this doesn’t contain what you are looking for then do contact us to see if we can help.
Does the Ski Club produce snow reports/comments on snow conditions and historical snow conditions?
Yes. The Ski Club of Great Britain is the UK's leading supplier of snow information. During the winter, we report on the snow conditions in 250 resorts, 5 days a week, and our 34 rep resorts are also updated at the weekends. We also write an online snow editorial every Monday and Thursday that gives an overview of the snow conditions in each country. We also have 17 years worth of historical snow data. If you need a tailor made snow report report for your publication then get in touch with us.
Is there a snowsports safety code?
Yes. The International Ski Federation (FIS) has established ten rules for conduct for skiers and snowboarders which you should follow at all times.
Does the Ski Club have an environmental code of conduct?
Yes. We have our own environmental policy. We also launched the Respect the Mountain campaign in 2004 to help safeguard the natural environment and the long-term future of skiing by raising awareness of environmental issues in the mountains. We also publish an environmental database, called the Green Resort Guide, which advises skiers on what resorts are doing to help protect the environment, ranking their performance on different criteria including recycling, green power, traffic reduction and building policy.
