Like most websites, we use cookies to help us improve your experience of our website by remembering who you are as you go from page to page or when you return to the website for another visit.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are saved on your computer by your web browser. When you visit a website, your web browser sends the website a copy of the information stored in the cookies for that website. It's a way of reminding the website about you and your preferences.

How does use cookies?

There are two main types of cookies that we use on

  • First party cookies: these are the cookies set by or on behalf of Only we can retrieve the information stored in these cookies - no other website will get this information.
  • Third party cookies: these are cookies set by other organisations, such as the snowsports companies that advertise on Each advertiser can only retrieve their own cookies - no-one else, including, can see what's in those cookies. If you visit another website that has adverts from the same organisation, they will be able to retrieve the information they have saved about you.

The first party cookies (the ones we set ourselves) are split into two types:

  • Persistent cookies: these cookies are saved to your computer and last for a year or more. If you come back to in that time, we'll be able to retrieve these cookies. The main reasons we use persistent cookies are to log you in automatically (if you've asked us to remember your login) and for our analytics so that we can see which pages are most popular (this information is anonymous). Using persistent cookies also allows us to tailor your online experience and contact you with product specific information.
  • Session cookies: these cookies aren't saved to your computer and they're forgotten as soon as you close your web browser. We use these to remember what you're doing from page to page - for example, keeping you logged in, remembering which resorts you're comparing, keeping track of what's in your shopping basket and lots of other things that make it easier for you to browse

How do I manage my cookies?

If you don't want your browser to accept cookies, you can change your browser settings to switch them off. You can usually choose to switch off all cookies (including first party cookies set by the website you're visiting) or just third party cookies (set by organisations other than the website you're visiting).

Before changing your settings, bear in mind that many websites, including, won't be able to offer you a full range of services and an easy-to-use experience if you turn off first party cookies.

To change your browser settings, look in the 'Options' or 'Preferences' menu of your browser. Each browser is different, so if you're not sure what to do, check your browser's 'Help' menu or try one of these links:
