Become A Rep: The Application Process

Ski Club reps skiingHow do I apply?

  1. Application forms: Download an application form and 2 reference forms from the links below. If you have trouble with this, email reps@skiclub.co.uk or call 020 8410 2039 to request the forms to be posted to you.
  2. Return your completed application form to the Ski Club: If you meet the criteria as stipulated, complete the application form and send it back to Simon Henwood, Reps Manager, Ski Club of Great Britain, 57-63 Church Road, Wimbledon Village, London, SW19 5SB.
  3. Send the reference forms to your chosen referees: If you don't know their addresses please send these forms back to the Ski Club with the referees names on, we can forward them to the relevant reps.
  4. We will consider your application: Upon receipt of your completed application form and reference forms, we will then consider your application and you will be contacted in due course: either to arrange an interview or inform you that your application has not been successful.
  5. Why would your application be rejected? If your application is rejected, this either means that your skiing/boarding standard is not sufficient, that you are generally considered to be unsuitable for the role of a rep, or that the Course is fully booked. In these instances, re-application is by invitation only.
  6. If you are invited to attend an interview: This will take place at the Clubhouse in Wimbledon, it will last approx. 1 hour, and it is compulsory to attend – telephone interviews are unfortunately unacceptable. You will be notified of the outcome by letter shortly afterwards. If you are unsuccessful, the previous paragraph applies.
  7. If your interview is successful: You will receive more details relating to the Course nearer the time, including a booking form from our Ski Freshtracks department, an equipment and uniform list, reading material, and the course content and reps' qualification documents. You will also be asked to attend one of five compulsory two-day First Aid Courses held in various locations around the UK in November. Uniform and any equipment ordered from us will be distributed at these courses and/or the Reps Training Course in December.

If you have any queries about any of the above, please contact Simon Henwood, Reps' Manager, either by telephone on: 020 8410 2039 or by email to reps@skiclub.co.uk.

We wish you every success with your application!
