"The combination of two instructors provided the best ski instruction that I have received in years and I finally felt that everything had come together and my skiing has improved such that I was able to deal with all conditions and with off piste with confidence".

I've been on a few Freshtracks holidays off piste, touring and instruction/development but this was the best format so far. I thought that the mixture of half Instruction and half Leader skiing was an excellent idea, enabling us to practice the instruction whilst releasing us to ski more freely.
I had reservations about Courmayeur being too small a resort to accommodate anyone who is able to cover the miles but I have to say I was happy to spend the week there and of course trips to Pila and La Thuile not to mention the opportunity to ski the Vallee Blanche again (without the infamous steps down from Chamonix) was enough to keep everyone happy. It's not exactly a ski in - ski out resort and you have to walk through the town to take a cable car to reach the snow, but you can store your skis up their so not so terrible.
I used Skiin for my ski hire, and Giacomo pointed out that the standard skis for E61 were as good as the premium skis for E95 but not this years designs, so I took his advice and saved the money. When I skied off piste for the day I swapped for fabulous Dynastar off piste skis for and extra E10. That would have been free had I paid for the premium ski to begin with. I hired in the town but left them in their store up the slope making the walk that bit easier.
The Mark Warner hotels are a bit worn and shabby but give good value for money and very willing and attentive service. This one was in better nick than the last and was nice and homely but taking most of the bulbs out of the light fittings is a questionable way to save money and highlights their penny pinching approach. The food never gets above OK and is not dissimilar to the fair served at most catered chalets where budgets demand inventiveness but the punter is never fooled and can see that bruschetta for a starter is just a bit of bread.
The sun shone from the second day onward and the snow was fine so how can you fail to have a good time.
