Become a Ski Club Leader

If you’re looking for a new kind of mountain challenge that allows you to give something back to snowsports then becoming a Ski Club Leader could be the ideal opportunity for you.

As trained volunteers, Leaders offer their time to Ski Club members, introducing some of the UK’s most dedicated snow fans to the freshest powder, the quietest slopes and the best times on snow.

And it all takes place in 34 top ski resorts across Europe and North America.

Brought to you by Land Rover

We're really excited that Land Rover are sponsoring our Ski Club Leaders, who provide a unique service in major resorts around the world. The industry-leading Ski Club snow reports service is also being supported by Land Rover. Their off-road pedigree makes Land Rover a great match for the Ski Club of Great Britain.

Leading slots are typically 2-3 weeks long, making it easy to fit in time in the mountains around other commitments. Trained Leaders can also go on to lead Ski Club Freshtracks holidays, which range from long weekends to extended trips.

Leading involves producing a weekly six-day ski and snowboard programme to appeal to all standards (except complete beginners) allowing Ski Club members to join others of a similar ability and get the most from their time on the mountain.

Leaders also host a social hour every evening of the weekly programme, which is an opportunity to get together with members back in resort and continue the social atmosphere generated on the slopes.

With their valuable first-hand knowledge, Leaders produce daily snow reports for skiclub.co.uk detailing the latest conditions and, as the Ski Club’s eyes on the ground in resort, are also welcome to contribute photos and news items.

The Ski Club hosts a variety of events in the mountains and back in the UK and Leaders are encouraged to get involved. There are also plenty of opportunities to catch up with fellow Leaders and members at parties including pre and post-season catch-ups.

If being a Ski Club Leader sounds like the mountain opportunity for you this season, then find out what’s needed to qualify and become part of the Ski Club team.
