China: Resorts

The ski industry in China, like everything is growing every year.
The Chinese government has announced plans to build 300 more ski resorts to accommodate the growing interest in the sport. However most of the existing resorts are small hills on the outskirts of Beijing, which still have old lift systems and few facilities.

Resorts in China

Long-Zhu Erlongshan: Long-Zhu Erlongshan is located in Binxian, China. The resort is a 65km bus ride from Harbin. The resort has snow cover for 170 days per year with an annual average temperature of 15 centigrade degree. Erlongshan has two trails for beginners, 6 runs for intermediate and advanced skiers. The child ski ground is the first of its kind in China. The ski resort covers around 780,000 square meters, and is capable of holding 4,000 skiers at the same time.
Yabuli: Yabuli is China's biggest ski resort and due to its high altitude skiing is available from November until late March.
