Right in the heart of the Balkans, Serbia has been blighted by political unrest for the last 20 years; however, in the last few years it has once again started to emerge along with its Eastern European counterparts as a great destination for a budget ski holiday.

Kopaonik: There is 60km of skiing and boarding on offer. A brand new quad chair opened in 2007 which takes skiers to 1988m. The resort sits in the national park, so expect a stunning natural environment.
