Bormio
The village of Bormio is a historic spa town, with a modern ski area, a legacy from the 2005 Alpine World Skiing Championships.
Bormio is a beautiful spa town with an excellent ski area, offering a good amount of terrain for a resort that is not so well know to the UK market. On of the benefits of this is that it can be a lot quieter than it's more well known counterparts. The food is excellent, as you would expect in Italy, but without the hefty price tag you may have come to expect when going skiing. Bormio was home to the SIGB (Snowsport Industries of Great Britain) UK snowsports industry ski test in 2009, 2010 and again in March 2011.
