Chocolate-box perfect Alpine village littered with plush hotels and restaurants. With access to the neighbouring resorts of Zürs and St Anton, Lech is one of the world’s finest resorts.
On a snowy night, it's hard to imagine Lech has changed in the past 700 years. Old chalets that now house luxurious hotels and restaurants are set on either side of a river that meanders through the town centre, past an onion-domed church. Lech regulars tend to be rich, famous and/or royal and, perhaps because they're so 'common', the resort remains refreshingly unpretentious. Oberlech is a tiny cluster of hotels above Lech accessible only by skis or cablecar (which runs until 0100).
