Leysin
With its sweeping views across Lake Geneva, little Leysin has some of the most impressive views in the Alps.
Let's be clear about this: Leysin is a pretty small resort, especially when compared to nearby Gstaad and even Les Diablerets. It means that the place remains slightly off the beaten track. And yet, there is an indefinable something about Leysin that enables it to seem more than the sum of its parts - perhaps because of it's combination of closeness to Geneva, links to the Alpes Vaudoises area and some fun, surprisingly versatile skiing within its tight resort boundaries.
