  I have been fortunate to own a chalet on the slopes at Le Chinaillon since 2000. Access from Geneva is good - only 30 mins away + 30 mins mountain climb. It is an excellent family resort & generally has good snow, this season has been excellent up to mid February. Even after 7 seasons there are still off piste areas to discover & my teenage children have learnt to ski in a safe exciting environment.
  

  There are sufficient enough restaurants to eat at a different place each night but food choice is limited after first visit & same applies to night life. Late season can be patchy but we combine with day trips to Chamonix & Argentiere which are 1hr & 1hr 15 mins away.
  

  To sum up: this is a very good resort for families with younger children & possibly grand parents in tow for a week.

  A beautiful hidden gem. A delightfiul authentic french ski station which caters for all levels and has a top snow record.

  Will definitely be going back.
