Treble Cone: reviews

  • Trevor Roberts (10 September 2004)

August 2004 Stunning scenery (has to be seen to be believed) excellent snow cover and perfect weather. Treble Cone (TC) is more challenging than its family friendly neighbour Cardronna. Good intermediates and advanced skiers are well catered for, rather limited for beginners - USA, Swiss & Austrian Olympic teams were all in training. No on slope catering facilities, although good cafe etc at the bottom chair lift. Approach road is a test of nerve, chains must be carried - a 4x4 is useful. NZ ski fields tend to be smaller than in Europe.

This is the opinion of a skiclub.co.uk visitor, not the Ski Club of Great Britain.
