Turoa: reviews
- Robert (06 July 2002)
I haven't been there this season, but last year I found it really good. The access road isn't so scary in comparision to Mt Hutt, but is still interesting for the first time. Also unlike the South Island, there's no Kea's to eat your car while you ski or board. The fields are just what you expect and offer a wide range for all. Some may find the fact that Turoa & Whakapapa are on Mt Ruapehu, an active volcano, a bit daulting.
This is the opinion of a skiclub.co.uk visitor, not the Ski Club of Great Britain.
