Snow overview for Italy
The Presena Glacier (450cm) was closed for the day on Monday 17th June. It was a nice, sunny day though and there was plenty of snow on the glacier still.
Cervinia and Val Senales are both closed at the moment.

We've been to Cervinia twice and really enjoyed it. We stayed in the Petit Palais and it was ideally located just across from the lifts with a ski back option on a red slope.
The first time I went with my husband and the second time I went with my three adult children and two of their friends[one a beginner] The slopes are wide and not too difficult and the resort itself is lovely.
The first time we bought the lift pass which included Zermatt but it wasn't worth it as the top of the mountain was closed all week except for one day. It would have been cheaper to just get the local lift pass and buy one day in Zermatt which we did the second time.
Cervinia can be very windy and both trips we had a day with no skiing because of the high winds. The wind tends to whip the snow off the slopes which makes it crusty. Having said that though my daughter's friend [29 years] had no difficulty skiing back down the red slope by the end of the week. She had a very small class and made huge progress and loved her instructor.
We will definitely go back again as the Italians are very friendly and there are no huge queues like you get in France.
