Snow overview for Austria
Thursday 02 February 2012

If it wasn’t snowing in Austrian resorts on Thursday 2nd February, then fresh snow could have been on the way as a result of heavy cloud cover and very cold temperatures. Resorts including Lech, Zurs (180/395cm) and Obergurgl (80/120cm) all enjoyed around 5cm of new snowfall on Thursday which notably improved pistes and fresh pockets of powder could easily be found.

Furthermore, it was very cold on Monday, although this is not out of the ordinary for this time of year. However it was a bitter minus 22 degrees on the glacier at Kaprun (130/240cm).
