Membership Assistant

The Ski Club of Great Britain is the UK’s largest snowsports membership organisation. We are seeking a Membership Assistant to join the busy team working out of our South London office. This interesting and varied role encompasses a varied range of tasks essential to the successful running of the membership programme.


  • To act as the first line of support for members processing member joins and renewals, answering member enquires about Club services, including Ski Club travel insurance, Rep service and Instructor led guiding.
  • Operational support for Club Member Services; liaising with Reps and partners to ensure efficient day to day running of Ski Club services and products.
  • Assisting the Membership team in enhancing the value of Ski Club membership. Working throughout the organization on specialist and ad hoc tasks to deliver meaningful change and development of the membership offering

Key accountabilities

Member Service - ensuring high levels of member satisfaction when dealing with members. Aim to receive high scores on member feedback questionnaires. Support other departments to ensure that the member receives a high-level service.

Insurance – Support the operation of Ski Club Travel Insurance, including handling customer & member enquiries and administering the Ski Club’s Platinum Membership offering. Assist in ongoing development of the Ski Club’s products.

Operations – Operational support for Club Member Services; liaising with Reps and partners to ensure efficient day to day running of Ski Club services and products. Provide a one-stop-shop that can handle member calls for information, Ski Club products and services including Ski Club Travel insurance, Instructor led guiding bookings and Rep enquiries.

Information – Assist operation of the Club’s information services, ensuring appropriate support and resource is provided year-round to represent the Club and the Club’s best interests.

Transceiver Rental Scheme – Supporting Holiday, Reps and Membership operations by assisting Ski Club’s transceiver scheme, ensuring delivery is in line with department requirements.

Marketing - Administration, maintenance and reporting of marketing campaigns relating to membership. Working closely with the Marketing team to provide regular updates on key dates and upcoming membership initiatives. Supporting operation of Club events


  • Snowsports experience/knowledge.
  • Strong administration skills.
  • IT literate, specifically with MS Excel and use of CRM platforms.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Insurance sales experience


  • Foreign language skills.
  • Worked a ski season
