New Online for Winter 2007-8

Snow Reports – even more detailed
Currently 70% of skiclub.co.uk visitors look at the online snow reports. As well as updating over 250 resorts daily, including the more detailed information direct from the Club's Reps** who have skied the resorts that day, NEW for this winter will be video snow reports from the slopes of the Rep resorts.

Ski Club continues to supply snow reports to the National newspapers, many of the biggest UK Tour Operators (Crystal, Inghams, Neilson and Kuoni), travel agents and a host of ski websites. There are also now 14 years of historical snow reports available for over 250 ski resorts.

SkiTV.co.uk – 1 year old
To celebrate its 1st birthday SkiTV.co.uk, the UK's only dedicated online snowsports TV channel, has been given a make over. There are new interactive features including the chance to rate videos and watch the most viewed and highly rated programmes, new visual ski resort guides and all the programmes are all being streamed even faster. The ‘Snowcast’, produced weekly by the Ski Club and featuring the latest snowsports news and snow and weather round-up is also available to download for free on skiclub.co.uk and through iTunes.

Respect the Mountain - a fresh look
www.respectthemountain.com, the environmental microsite within skiclub.co.uk has also had a makeover. Easier to navigate, this now includes Best Practice sections for skiers, tour operators and resort staff. It also includes the Green Resort Guide – a resource outlining the green credentials of over 200 resorts, the Ski Club's 7 Steps to being a greener skier, the green online shop and green news.

Advice and Information - completely updated
The 'Guides To' section has been completely refreshed with new content and has become the comprehensive and indispensable ‘Advice and Info’ section. The area covers information on booking holidays and travel, equipment, technique, mountain safety and health, fitness and injuries and includes 'Ask the Expert' sections. The experts include mountain guide Nigel Shepherd, ski instructor Mark Jones and orthopaedic surgeon Jonathan Bell.

Headline news - on and off the snow
New for this winter, Ski Club has employed experienced journalists to keep the news section updated daily with all the news and gossip from the slopes.

Ski Club members can access all of skiclub.co.uk and skitv.co.uk when logged on. Non-members can access much of the information above but need to either join the Ski Club (membership from £18) to get the more detailed information, or subscribe to skitv.co.uk (£10 per year) to watch.
