Bad Kleinkirchheim has shady home slopes and sunnier ones shared with St Oswald. They are mainly wooded and of intermediate standard (75% are red).

Slopes

  • Resort altitude: 1090m
  • Lower slopes: 1090m
  • Upper slopes: 2055m
  • Total pistes: 103km

For beginners

The nursery slopes at the top of the Nockalm gondola are much warmer and sunnier than the lower shaded runs in Bad Kleinkirchheim. Once off the nursery slopes, there is a long blue the length of the Nockalm gondola. But that's it - no other long, easy blues.

For intermediates

Virtually all the slopes are ideal for good intermediates and many are long (up to 1000m vertical). For timid intermediates, the Nockalm and St Oswald sectors are best.

For advanced

Bad Kleinkirchheim has little to keep experts interested for a week. The best and most challenging black is the Franz Klammer World Cup run, which goes from Strohsack to the gondola base (the short top section is very steep and often closed). Off-piste tours are popular and the resort organizes three-hour guided tours.
