Austria had received little snowfall over the last month which had resulted in little off piste powder being on offer. Fortunately, due to the early season snowfall, most resorts in mid to high areas still had good on piste skiing conditions. The weekend brought welcome relief to the lean run of snowfall, with over half a metre falling in many areas. There was so much snowfall in Lech that the Ski Club race in the resort had to be cancelled!
No new snow of note is forecast for the next few days in Austria but with temperatures hovering around freezing this should not negatively affect the skiing conditions in the country too much.
