No skiing is currently on offer in North America, but the first snow has been reported at most resorts. Most notably, fresh snow has fallen in Colorado at the same time as temperatures dipped to well below -10c. Huge amounts of manmade snow have been produced at the likes of Keystone, Arapahoe Basin and Loveland – all of which are likely to open up for winter very soon! Snowmaking has also begun at Killington on the east coast and at a couple of resorts in Quebec in Canada.
Mostly dry and sunny weather is forecast for most, but cool nights should allow for snowmaking in some places – especially at the high resorts in Colorado.
