The lower two-thirds of the hill is wooded, with trails cut in the usual style. The upper third is a mix of open and lightly wooded slopes spread over four separate bowls, with scores of ways down for experts through the open terrain, chutes and trees.

Slopes

  • Resort altitude: 1190m
  • Lower slopes: 1190m
  • Upper slopes: 2445m
  • Total pistes: 2825acres

For beginners

The beginner area at the base is fine, with easy slopes (but maybe poor snow) on the lower mountain for progression.

For intermediates

Adventurous types will have a fine time learning to play in the powder from Blue Heaven down to Crystal Bowl. Most of it is open, but you can head off into trees if you want to. The area of groomed cruising is increasing - there's a top-to-bottom 10km winding green run, and long blues down the front, but for now the timid are better off elsewhere.

For advanced

From the top, you can go right into the gentle Crystal Bowl via an easy piste, or via serious chutes from CPR Ridge; or go left down pleasantly wooded single-diamond slopes into Bowl Over; or head to Super Bowl. The Stairway to Heaven chair serves further single-diamond wooded slopes. Feuz Bowl offers various challenges, not all of genuine double-diamond steepness, and gets tracked out less quickly. The lower half of the mountain has short black runs cut through the woods, some with big moguls. There is heli-skiing nearby.
