Mont Saint Sauveur Ski Resort
A mere 60km from Montreal, Mont Saint Sauveur is a popular weekend and day-trip destination, with the lift system to cope.
The 200m vertical drop doesn't tell the story for what is a surprisingly varied ski area. The 38km of pistes are served by four fast chairlifts and all are not only covered by a total of 350 snow machines, but also floodlights to ensure night skiing is possible throughout the long Quebec winters.
Most visitors come up from Montreal, but there are accommodation options in the town of Saint-Sauveur, which are ideal if you're looking to make the most of the off-slope activities on offer – including cross country skiing, ice skating, ice hockey and curling.
