Whitewater is renowned for powder (40% off-piste), food and weekend party atmosphere. Despite it's low profile, it's a perfect destination for serious powder seekers. The resort sees more than 12m of annual snowfall, and unlike many nearby resorts in the Powder Highway you won't have to be up at the crack of dawn to get any fresh lines in. As more of a community than destination resort, the slopes are rarely crowded. The addition of the Glory Ridge Chair in 2010 further reduced lift queues while substantially expanding the amount of available terrain.
This really is a resort you'd only want to visit for it's off piste, with tree glades, bowls, chutes and steeps creating a paradise for advanced freeskiers.
Accommodation in the historic town of Nelson or a great day out from nearby Red Mountain.
