A tiny ski station in the Alpe-d'Huez area - a series of wood-clad, chalet-style apartment blocks with a few shops, bars and restaurants set just above the tree line. It's a compact family resort, with a ski school, nursery and a ski kindergarten. Beneath it is the original old village of Auris, complete with attractive, traditional buildings, a church and all but one of the resort's hotels. Staying here with a car you can drive up to the lift base or make excursions to other resorts.
