Aside from the Zugspitze Glacier, the slopes at German resorts are really struggling. Thin strips of artificial snow from earlier in the season are found at most resorts, with only the higher slopes full width and in decent condition. Feldberg and Winterberg are struggling in particular, with only a handful of slopes still open.
The good news is that snowfall is expected on Tuesday night through to Wednesday, bringing some welcome relief and possibly enough snow to help reopen some runs. Cold temperatures are forecast too, which should allow for snow machines to fire as well.
