Many children get their first snowsports experience on a school trip – there's nothing better than learning with your best pals!
Often a daunting yet exciting prospect, school ski trips are a fantastic way to introduce children to snow-sports, but how do you go about it all? Very often, schools will arrange their own trips, led by members of staff – often but not always the PE department. They tend to be arranged well in advance, so can offer excellent value for money whilst heading to some superb destinations!
Fancy trying skiing here in the UK? Snowsports England are also running an initiative - Go Ski Go Board – in order to get school students and others involved in snowsports, at participating dry slopes and indoor snow slopes throughout the country.
If you are booking a trip on behalf of a school group, there are a number of specialist school ski tour operators who will be more than happy to take you through the process and advise you on all aspects of the trip. It's also worth remembering that many schools book their trips up to two years in advance, so be sure to get yours in early.
