Looking for new gloves? Next for review are the Hestra all-mountain C-Zone models

Hestra All-mountain C-Zone gloves RRP £80

Excellent build quality is a feature of Hestra gloves, and the All-Mountain is no exception. Fiberfill insulation and a snug, breathable and wicking Bermberg/polyster lining keep your hands warm but without too much bulk, and a durable leather palm and fingers should stand the test of time.

Hestra’s C-Zone membrane is windproof, waterproof and breathable and provides further protection against wet and cold, whilst the backhand is also windproof, waterproof and breathable, in this case in the form of Hestra’s Proton/Polyamide fabric; it also features a small zipped pocket which will hold a small heat pack for especially cold days although this will have limited impact on the ends of your fingers, which is where the cold tends to be felt most.

The cuffs are just about wide enough to give you the choice of wearing them over or under your jacket cuffs, and they come with a one-hand pull strap closure as well as a Velcro closure lower on the wrist; shame there are no security loops though.

FOR Great build quality
AGAINST Zipped pocket of limited use

Hestra say:

The upper section is made from windproof, waterproof and breathable HESTRA Proton polyamide fabric. The palm is made of impregnated goat leather. This glove has an insert which is a membrane inside the glove, making the glove waterproof. There is a pull strap with Velcro closure.
