WHAT THEY SAY: "Will eyewear is a lifestyle frame with performance attributes. The grilamid frame is lightweight, flexible and durable, which makes it perfect for almost any athletic endeavor. The hydrophilic rubber stays grippy even when wet, so the glasses will stick to your nose when you move, regardless of rain or transpiration. The nylon lenses are treated with Ripel for clear vision and easy cleaning."

WHAT ALF SAYS: The superlight, matt black Will looks great whether you’re on the pistes, the beach or at the bar, making these stylish shades very versatile – which given the price is no bad thing. I especially liked the light feel of the Will – you hardly know you’re wearing them.

The Will’s frame is made from grilamid, which as well as being light, is also flexible and tough. In addition to this there are hydrophilic rubber inserts on the bridge which meant the glasses stayed in place even when I got hot and sweaty on long ascents.

The Carl Zeiss nylon lenses are quite large in size – all the better for keeping out those rays – and are polarised (although a cheaper, non-polarised version is available). I find this is a really useful function on snow, especially at high altitude, as it means glare is minimised and you’re not squinting all day which can lead to headaches. They also have a ‘Ripel’ finish for easy cleaning.

You can buy different colour lenses and different lens categories for the Will, meaning that if you like the style you’ll almost certainly find a lens that will work for you.

FOR: Versatile and lightweight

AGAINST: Pricey
