Alf Alderson takes a look at Salice's new goggle offering, Neo
Salice Neo RRP £65
The Neo is designed for children from approximately 9 – 14 years, and comes with all the features you’d expect on adult goggles without costing the Earth – which is a good thing when you consider how kids treat their goggles.
The Neo features a top-quality double anti-fog treated Zeiss lens with a mirror coating to reduce glare, and additional protection from fogging is provided through well-sized vents. The frame profile has been designed to ensure a good fit when worn with a helmet, which is also a good thing since many resorts now insist on children wearing helmets.
The soft face foam should be fine on even the most sensitive of faces, and a soft, reasonably wide elasticated strap allows for easy adjustment. It would have been useful if it featured silicon strips to help keep the goggles in place on a helmet (how many times have you seen kids with loose goggles flapping around at the back of their helmet?).
FOR All the essential features at a reasonable price
AGAINST Strap would benefit from silicon retention strips
