Our reviewer put Picture's Gradient jacket through its paces, here's what he found

Picture Gradient Jacket RRP £289

The Gradient is a jacket for riders who like all the whistles and bells – it comes stacked with features, and the gradating blue colourway will make you stand out on the slopes.

The relaxed fit and a fairly high level of insulation mean that you won’t need to layer up much underneath it; and it also features Picture’s R-PET20K membrane which is waterproof (20k rating) and breathable (15k rating), plus a hydrophilic internal layer which extracts humidity and water from inside the jacket so you won’t overheat whilst wearing it. Picture also claim this is the world's first 100% eco-friendly recyclable membrane.

There are so many features that we don’t have room to do much more than list them here – from the top there’s a fully adjustable, helmet-compatible hood, two zipped chest pockets, two zipped handwarmer pockets, zipped lift pocket on the left sleeve, internal security pocket and large internal stash pocket, pit zips, wrist gaiters, Velcro-adjustable cuffs and powder skirt – so you get plenty for your money.I liked the quite loose fit of the Gradient, and it’s neither as bulky nor as heavy as it first feels; and it also looks pretty cool.

FOR Eco-friendly, fully-loaded with features
