We test the good value jacket designed to keep skiers warm in the colder months.
The CMP Man jacket is a great value option for piste skiers who want plenty of insulation. This fantastically warm offering from CMP has a slim cut and the kind of unnecessary but somehow essential detailing that’s a feature of Italian ski wear. So, if you like the Italian look you should check this toasty jacket out.
The detachable hood has a certain amount of adjustability but is not helmet-compatible, and this tester thinks the jacket looks better without it. There are plenty of pockets – one chest, two handwarmer pockets and a lift pass pocket on the outside, all with zips, and two elasticated mesh stash pockets and a zipped security pocket on the inside.
Wrist gaiters, Velcro-adjustable cuffs and a powder skirt all provide additional warmth and protection. Providing you don’t mind the extra weight and bulk that the jacket’s insulation performs exceptionally well and is a very good budget buy.
FOR Top value, well-insulated.
AGAINST Bulky and heavy, hood not helmet compatible.
