What are the stand-out features of the O'Neill Jones Kenai jacket? Find out in our review
The women’s Jones Kenai jacket is stacked full of features and a particularly good option if you’re after an insulated ski jacket. It comes with both 3M Thinsulate insulation and O’Neill’s proprietory Firewall Magma Retention Lining, which it’s claimed keeps you warmer for 12 per cent longer (so you can presumably stay out longer on cold days…).
The Kenai is also waterproof and breathable (both to 10k), has fully-taped seams, uses recycled polyester in its construction (so you can feel worthy) and is made from four-way stretch fabric so the relatively slim fit is not restrictive.
From the top you get a fixed, fully-adjustable, quilted hood, a chest pocket, lift pass pocket on the left sleeve and two handwarmer pockets (all with zips) as well as two inner pockets. Small pit zips with mesh liners allow for temperature control and a powder skirt, adjustable hem, lovely soft wrist gaiters and Velcro adjustable cuffs keep the elements at bay.
Given that you could also wear the Kenai on the streets as well as the slopes it’s a pretty versatile piece of kit
FOR Plenty of useful features, versatile.
AGAINST Pit zips are rather small.
