Base layers don’t have to be boring! Ski Club’s Sophie Mead reviews Oosc’s vibrant thermals to find out if style meets substance
Ever since I saw Hollywood actress, Margot Robbie, sporting one of Oosc’s Rainbow Road snowsuits I was hooked on the bright, bold design. Due to popular demand, the company released a matching base layer, so I got my hands on a pair to put them to the test both on the slopes and the yoga mat.
It's easy to be distracted by flashy designs and favour looks over practicality, and that is exactly why I wanted to test this set. Firstly I wore the set under my salopettes and ski jacket during seven days in Chamonix. Conditions were sunny but cold, and my temperature was consistently comfortable throughout the trip. During the evenings there were yoga sessions so the thermals doubled up as gymwear, but most people will opt to change into fresh sports clothes off the slopes. That said, the Oosc base layers allowed for easy movement throughout several sessions, demonstrating that the four-way stretch technology works a treat!
