GURGL - WHERE WINTER IS AT HOME

Dig out your skis and get ready for Gurgl! Top Quality Skiing is the motto in Gurgl. Here in one of Tirol's highest winter sport areas featuring 25 mountain lifts and 112 immaculate slope kilometers, the annual Ski Opening starts on 18 November 2021. The vastness of the ski area, stretching up to 3080 meters, is therefore considered to be very snow reliable: a great benefit for winter sports enthusiasts in two ways. Ski in & ski out convenience is also available in countless hotels right in the ski area. Top comfort in the hotel and fun on the slopes right outside the (hotel's) front door. NEW SEASON, NEW HIGHLIGHTS

New Rosskarbahn mountain lift
The "Top Quality Skiing" label always highlights the self-imposed quality standard, which is consistently pursued through regular new attractions. From winter 21/22, Gurgl once more highlights its self-imposed standard of Top Quality Skiing with the new Rosskar Mountain Gondola. The state-of-the-art gondola lift replaces the previous chairlift, offering topnotch gondola comfort. With an astonishing overall transport capacity of 2400 people per hour, winter sports enthusiasts are carried from 1910 m in the valley up to the top station at 2668 m in almost no time.

Top Mountain Motorcycle Museum
Europe's highest motorcycle museum will open its doors again from 18 November 2021. The motorcycle museum was completely destroyed by a major fire in January 2021. The reconstruction not only expanded and renewed the lost collection, but also the entire concept of the museum. The new adventure world covering 4500 m² offers not only motorbikes from around the globe but also a noticeable motor experience. Various interactive elements encourage visitors to dive into the world of motorbikes. In a 4D cinema, including air flow, engine sound and cornering, guests can experience a ride over a Tirolean pass road. A media table offers detailed insights into how an engine works. Just to name a few of the many highlights including the exciting permanent and special exhibitions on several topics the museum has to offer.

  • Away from skiing fun, the 3 kilometer long natural toboggan run in Hochgurgl attracts daredevils with weekly night tobogganing events.
  • At the weekly "First Line" skiing experience the ski resort belongs exclusively to you for a while.
